For All the Moms: Floral Design Secrets Revealed!

Dear Friends,

6 days to go before it's time to spoil the mothers in our families - we thought it's a good time to check in with our floral designers to get some tips to create something fresh and easy for May 12th.
Kate Brack and Michael Alvarado were happy to oblige! And we love their suggestions: work with what you have got! Rummage around the kitchen for utilitarian containers such as canning jars, simple vases and candy jars. Look in the garden for fresh blooms and greens. Put together a simple arrangement of your own. Adding herbs such as mint turns the bouquet into aromatherapy. Simple buds add interest, green leaves fill the bottom layers.




















Work steps: select your flowers, trim and clean them up, get organized.
Select your container and be creative: let a single gorgeous flower float, mix flowers and foliage,
Consider potting a few succulents for a long lasting gift. And voilà, your personal gift is ready.

We recently had a Fabulous Tour of the Fabulous Forum, courtesy of our friend Jill Przelenski, Director, Special Events & Family Entertainment. The legendary Forum Club serves as special entrance for private and corporate events. Inspiration: The Red Line and Elements - Art Projects by Doron Gazit

San Luis Obispo Museum of Art - wrapped in The Red Line by Doron Gazit. Since we last checked in with Doron Gazit, the artist and industrial designer has lined multiple locations in California with The Red Line and his art work is currently on exhibit at the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art as well as The Loft at Liz's in Los Angeles. He is being mentioned in one breath with Cristo! We look forward to working with Doron to wrap an environmentally themed event. We were happy to report on The Red Line at the Dead Sea in September 2015. In the 8 months since, Doron has installed his environmental awareness art project in several locations in drought ravaged California. As always The Red Line concept highlights the impact of Global Warming on the environment. In December of 2015, The Red Line snaked through the Pyramid Lake burn area, just North of Los Angeles. Our Floral Designer Rebecca Motus featured on ABC's The Bachelor on Valentine's Day

Love was on the air last night on ABC's 20th Anniversary Valentine's Day Special of The Bachelor; also covered by People Magazine. The floral decor was designed and created by none other than our floral designer Rebecca Fernandez Motus. We are really proud of Rebecca Motus' achievement: designing and creating all the florals for this primetime TV event! Rebecca: "I met the producers of the show through a friend who recommended me when they were looking for a designer to create the floral decor for this 20th anniversary extravaganza. It was a wonderful opportunity to show my work to millions of people. The special was filmed at the St. Regis Monarch Beach and as everything in television, it took many, many hours to produce this 2-hour special. I spent five days on set, building the floral decor. And those 5 nights were pretty much sleepless. Many days we worked until midnight and I had to get to the Downtown Flower Market by 3AM to get fresh flowers. However, des
