Monday Music Celebrates Janis Joplin
Dear Friends, This morning at 11:30 am, Hollywood will honor 60ties legend Janis Joplin with a posthumous Star on the Walk of Fame. Clive Davis and Kris Kristofferson will join the late Janis' siblings to celebrate the occasion. Why such an honor for a singer who only recorded 4 studio albums in her short lifetime and who's only Number One hit was released after her death? Simply, because she broke the glass ceiling and became the very first Rock Mama ever. Her style is still relevant today and our current female rock stars still draw from Janis's heritage. We dedicate today's music blog to a woman who really gave everything in every show.
