3-13-2020 IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING COVID-19 FROM PIA MACDONALD

We are staying in constant contact with PIA MACDONALD,  PhD, MPH, CPH, from RTI International for updates on the COVID-19 situation and we will provide updates as needed. 03-13-2020 The COVID-19 epidemic is quickly growing.  Unfortunately, it has become clear that the limited domestic testing has created a situation where it is very difficult to understand the epidemic and where we are with regards to domestic transmission. Pia MacDonald is following all guidance around minimizing social interactions and advising companies to closely follow their state and local health department’s guidance.  This is about protecting those most at risk in our communities, the elderly and people with underlying health conditions and/or weakened immune systems. The timing could not be any better! We had the chance to hear a presentation by Pia MacDonald, PhD, MPH, CPH, from RTI International last week. Pia has two decades of experience in domestic and international epidemiological research and public health. She has an extensive background in infectious disease epidemiology and surveillance, global health security, public health preparedness, and outbreak investigation and response.
