It's a Birthday Serenade for Janet and Steve Elkins!

Dear Friends, End of March is here - that means special occasions in Casa Elkins. Their anniversary and Janet's and Steve's birthdays are all happening this week. We could not convince them to throw a party but we surreptitiously planned a musical greeting. We emailed our friends Who's your Daddy! - a Los Angeles based a cappella quartet we met last year through mutual friends. We were so impressed with their performance at one of our events that we actually attend their gigs for personal fun and became friends with Freddy Curci, Rick Neigher, Adam Gorgoni and Chris Cote - all together here to serenade Janet and Steve with a personal Happy Birthday song! "For those of you in the Los Angeles area, I highly recommend going to see "Who's Your Daddy!" at Rusty's Surf Ranch on the Santa Monica Pier, April 12th, starting at 9:15 pm! Not only are they tremendous singers, but have amazing taste in music, and do some of the coolest rock & roll a cap

We Waited 7 Long Years! Ladies and Gentlemen: Justin Timberlake

Dear Friends, Some stars feel a first name is enough but it takes a stratospheric level of fame to just go by initials. He does! J.T. - the multi-talented hyphenate actor-singer-artist and former Disney star Justin Timberlake. The former Teen Dream's first album in 7 years The 20/20 Experience  will be available for download tomorrow and as a gift to his fans it's been free streaming on iTunes for a week! We know some women who sacrificed sleep last week to catch J.T. every night during the unprecedented feat of appearing as a guest all week on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. The wait is over, here he is! "It's been 7 very long years since we've heard those sweet soulful falsetto coos from the Prince of Pop himself, none other than J.T, aka Justin Timberlake, and I'm happy to announce, sounding better than ever! "Suit & Tie" is more representative of a more mature Mr. Timberlake, taking on a fundamentally happy stance and sounding as if he had

Monday Music - Artists You Need To Know: Bruno Mars!

Image
Dear Friends, We know that English Pop God Sting can be a prickly person but he was happy to join Hawaiian-born Bruno Mars on stage during the Grammy Awards to perform "Locked Out of Heaven" - the first single off Bruno's new album - even though the whole music industry is buzzing about the strong influence of The Police on this song. Bruno Mars himself is not shy about confessing that he is a huge fan of The Police and that their riffs and rhythms influenced his song. And let's be honest, it's no surprise that they jammed together with Ziggy and Damian Marley and Rihanna for a Bob Marley tribute. Because that's the guy who influenced Sting and Bruno and many more. So let's get skanking and enjoy Bruno Mars' new hit. Catch him on tour this summer! "Bruno Mars has something for everyone musically… As a kid, he would do amazing impersonations of Little Richard, Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson, and now at age 27, has managed to channel these

Fresh From Our Latest Event: Fitz and The Tantrums

Image
Dear Friends, We just "discovered" them ourselves: Fitz and The Tantrums got everybody on the dance floor and rocking along last week at our event for a client's Sales Kickoff at the Swan and Dolphin Resort in Florida. We found Fitz and The Tantrums on YouTube. Check them out! They will be too busy for our industry soon as they are opening up for Bruno Mars and Dave Matthews this summer as they release their own new CD bundle "We just recently returned from a very exciting and successful sales Kickoff and quite a buzz was felt afterward around featured headliner " Fitz and the Tantrums " for the closing night party! Hailing from my hometown of Los Angeles CA, Fitz and his Tantrums reached #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart with their debut album in 2010 and have received critical acclaim in addition to performances on Jay Leno, Conan, Jimmy Kimmel…not to mention being the opening act for a Maroon 5 world tour! Their sound is a perfect blend of re
