Happy Birthday Song for Katie Rogers!

Dear Friends!

We have to admit that our in-house "Aussie", Katie Rogers, was first to mention a by now famous new breakout star after her last trip to her homeland - long before we knew him. Katie heard "Someone I used to know" and predicted major success and she is right! Gotye went from playing the small El Rey in February - and yes, Katie was in the audience that night - to packing Coachella and the Nokia at L.A. LIVE just three months later. Tomorrow we will be celebrating her birthday, so here it goes: Happy Birthday, Katie!




"Gotye’s music has been compared to that of Sting and Peter Gabriel, and with good reason. Not only is his sound nostalgic and bold, but Gotye is a contemporary artist that, to the inexperienced, could  
feasibly belong to any era from the 1970s right up until the present day. "Somebody that I Used To Know" is a world wide wild fire anthem for good reason; It's flawless. The song is compelling enough with its intriguing, minimalist opening, tale of relationship gone bad, and Gotye's super infectious pop hook wail on the chorus. Then we hear the female side of the story and "Somebody that I Used To Know" is elevated to brilliance. We recently had a Fabulous Tour of the Fabulous Forum, courtesy of our friend Jill Przelenski, Director, Special Events & Family Entertainment. In a nutshell: the re-invented Forum deserves the media hype it received. Eagles' Glenn Frey exclaimed: “The Forum is the best sounding large building anywhere in the world. Take my word for it, we’ve played them all.” It also offers exquisite event space possibilities that allow us to create a VIP Experience of any size! The legendary Forum Club serves as special entrance for private and corporate events. It's a VIP Experience from the first moment onward as this area has special parking privileges and street access.  Painting and maintenance crews were hard at work inside and outside of  the new hall that reopened in January 2014.  Jill Przelenski: "We don't allow any wear and tear. Inspiration: The Red Line and Elements - Art Projects by Doron Gazit

San Luis Obispo Museum of Art - wrapped in The Red Line by Doron Gazit. Since we last checked in with Doron Gazit, the artist and industrial designer has lined multiple locations in California with The Red Line and his art work is currently on exhibit at the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art as well as The Loft at Liz's in Los Angeles. He is being mentioned in one breath with Cristo! We look forward to working with Doron to wrap an environmentally themed event. We were happy to report on The Red Line at the Dead Sea in September 2015. In the 8 months since, Doron has installed his environmental awareness art project in several locations in drought ravaged California. As always The Red Line concept highlights the impact of Global Warming on the environment. In December of 2015, The Red Line snaked through the Pyramid Lake burn area, just North of Los Angeles. Our Floral Designer Rebecca Motus featured on ABC's The Bachelor on Valentine's Day

Love was on the air last night on ABC's 20th Anniversary Valentine's Day Special of The Bachelor; also covered by People Magazine. The floral decor was designed and created by none other than our floral designer Rebecca Fernandez Motus. We are really proud of Rebecca Motus' achievement: designing and creating all the florals for this primetime TV event! Rebecca: "I met the producers of the show through a friend who recommended me when they were looking for a designer to create the floral decor for this 20th anniversary extravaganza. It was a wonderful opportunity to show my work to millions of people. The special was filmed at the St. Regis Monarch Beach and as everything in television, it took many, many hours to produce this 2-hour special. I spent five days on set, building the floral decor. And those 5 nights were pretty much sleepless. Many days we worked until midnight and I had to get to the Downtown Flower Market by 3AM to get fresh flowers. However, des
