The Event: An Evening consisting of Reception, Dinner and After Party - The Highlight of a 3-day program and only occasion for all guests to attend together. Guest Count: 575 Location: The Empire Polo Club, Coachella Festival Location, Indio, CA Kristen Rensch and Ted Bowers report. Kristen Rensch: "The Reception took place on the lawn and we moved guests inside the tent for dinner. It was a cold desert night and our guests were happy to be somewhat better protected from the elements. Despite the chilly night they enjoyed themselves. Through dinner we had a small main stage at the front of the tent for a jazz duo. We used this setup for a surprise announcement. Towards the end of the dinner we rolled in a riser in what was the rear of the tent space with the after party area as the backdrop, and the band introduced the “new band member” – the company CEO.. We heightened the reveal with lighting effects and music. The CEO took the stage and invited the guests to an exclusive ...

Event Report: We ❤️ California - And This California Themed Event Design

Image
700 guests, 3 days in the gorgeous ocean-front Terranea Resort, we had the pleasure of being tasked with designing an event to promote the Golden State, Home Sweet Home California. Our Director of Design Kate Brack and Floral Artist Rebecca Motus were thrilled to apply a palette of pop colors to various iconic design objects, such as the California bear and our state flower, the poppy. Alisa Walsh reports. "We were tasked with creating a design highlighting California for an event in the tourism industry. Kate excelled at creating a colorful theme based on iconic California objects that we wove through every aspect of the event. For all the floral we focused on poppies in bright blue, orange and greens. Poppies are such gorgeous flowers and the pop color arrangements gave the whole ballroom an instant California feel. Furthermore we created photo opportunities throughout the event that were all designed to be social media friendly. The largest piece was the stock bar that we...

Car enthusiast and collector - and, of course EW Technical Director - Ted Bowers reports from San Francisco. Ted: "It was a super fast turn and I am thrilled that it came off flawlessly. All went really well and the client, automobile industry legend James Burton, Executive Director of C.A.R.,  was happy. Our main goal was two-fold: attract show attendees and provide an inviting, exciting space to demonstrate the C.A.R. sales software and technology. The software is a really impressive, comprehensive sales and service tracking solution that is market-leading in the industry. We followed Cardone's branding guideli...
