Wishing our Chinese friends - and everyone! - a Happy, Lucky New Year! Los Angeles is celebrating the start of the Year of the Fire Monkey with the city's 117th Golden Dragon Parade and Chinese New Year Festival this coming Saturday, February 13th, in Chinatown. The parade will kick off at 1pm on the corner of Hill and Ord Streets and even though the American-Chinese and Chinese residential areas are for the most part located in San Gabriel Valley nowadays, the Chinatown Parade and Festival still attract tens of thousands who line the parade route.
