Monday Music: Celebrating Summer with A Chill Tune!
Dear Friends, We asked DJ Matt to go seasonal. After all, every season has it's own food, fashion, activities and, of course, matching music. Let's hear it for Summer! Matt: "So far, the beginning of Summer 2013 has been abuzz with great music from all fronts, with a notable trend towards what some refer to as "chill wave". Gaining much acclaim and otherwise attention is the new release from this artist known as "Washed Out " (for those of you familiar with the comedy series "Portlandia", the dreamy, ethereal opening music is one of his songs. "It all feels right" is the first single and already in heavy airwave rotation. I'll be putting together a list of my favorite "summertime music" and would love it if you do as well and share it with me! This one will be high on the list.
