Kristen Rensch and Ted Bowers report.
Kristen Rensch: "The Reception took place on the lawn and we moved guests inside the tent for dinner. It was a cold desert night and our guests were happy to be somewhat better protected from the elements. Despite the chilly night they enjoyed themselves. Through dinner we had a small main stage at the front of the tent for a jazz duo. We used this setup for a surprise announcement. Towards the end of the dinner we rolled in a riser in what was the rear of the tent space with the after party area as the backdrop, and the band introduced the “new band member” – the company CEO.. We heightened the reveal with lighting effects and music. The CEO took the stage and invited the guests to an exclusive after party in the area usually reserved for super stars and VVIPs invited by GoldenVoice during the Coachella Festival."
"We took over the Date Shed and VIP Room areas of the complex and produced a customized Coachella-esque experience. We created various spaces to highlight different music styles. We had two stages for two bands who performed live music. We had a mezcal bar, a whiskey bar, a Country & Craft Brew room and a Whiskey & Rock lounge.
By the time guests entered the space we had cued live music and lighting enhancements so our guests walked into an active space."
"Guests were treated to their own custom VIP Music Festival. Flatbreads and gourmet fries were served with mezcal and other spirits at the outdoor bars. We designed a California BoHo chic VIP space for the Country & Craft Brew area and a 7-piece band played a large variety of hits in the more rock'n roll Whiskey & Rock room."
Ted Bowers: "Nothing but raves! We are happy to report that the evening was a great success. The guests appreciated the very customized soiree in a location that is usually not accessible to the public. Two months from now one of the most iconic music festivals in the world will take place at this location. We had the privilege of producing a mini festival on the same grounds."

Retraction:
Last Monday we shared an Event Report about a tourism industry event. EW designed and created many iconic items, however, we erroneously took credit for the STRING ART PROJECT featuring the California Bear.
It actually was the master piece of our friends at Destination Concepts. Mea Culpa - WE ARE SORRY - and we ❤️your work DCi!
