Yes, We Can Include Happiness Generating Factors In Your Event.

It sure is a stressful world these days. But there is hope - and many ideas on how to make your guests feel HAPPY.

Buzzwords 'Happiness' and 'Wellness' seem to pop up everywhere these days. #Bestlife is trending. Serious science supports the thought that 'happiness', while defined differently depending on culture and era, affects our health and overall performance.
Kristen Rensch, Vice President and Executive Producer, reports from the Integratron in Joshua Tree, CA.

Wellness seminars and motivational workshops have existed for a long time. However, nowadays, happiness generating factors that enhance the guest engagement, and ultimately the work performance, at corporate events are in demand and we are exploring and happily testing many different techniques that work for a large diverse group.

IMEX 2019 in Frankfurt, Germany, focuses on "Imagination" with the goal of increasing workplace creativity.
‘Everyone has the potential to think creatively. Children are able to think of more than 60 new solutions per day in response to a problem. As we get older, this reduces to about six a day. Why not learn to think creatively again?’ Gebert Janssen.

Wharton Health Care Management published a series of articles on the subject of 'happiness' from a multi-disciplinary academic and scientific angle.
The impact of happiness reaches into many aspects of a person’s life beyond just health. There are social rewards for being happy.  Happiness can boost confidence, likability, and one’s ability to feel pleasure and find meaning in routine life events.  People who are happy tend to have more friends, lower odds of divorce, deeper relationships, and stronger, more trusting and supportive social networks.  In fact, rich friendships not only reduce our loneliness, which has a significant impact on our well-being, they also reduce our stress levels.

People who are happy get better sleep, are more energetic, and typically more creative and innovative. This is likely to result in increased productivity, better work quality, higher academic performance, and better decision making and problem solving capabilities.

So let's get started.
Kristen Rensch visited the famous Integratron in Joshua Teee, CA, to experience the effects of a soundbath.
Kristen:
"As ever-busy event professionals, recharging and finding peace in the controlled chaos of the event world where we spend most days (and nights!) has become increasingly important to me. And opportunities to do so with friends and like-minded individuals in pursuit of peacefulness are extra special.

I’ve been hearing about the magic of the Integratron for a number of years, and know many people who have experienced it, so was excited when one of my favorite sound healers hosted an afternoon soundbath there one recent weekend.

Soundbaths have become increasing popular in Los Angeles, and are gaining traction in communities across the country and worldwide where people are seeking the mental and physical recalibration they can offer. While there is much more to say about the experience of them, research has found that they have positive effects on recalibrating the nervous system even more so than traditional meditation. They are actually an ancient wellness practice and a great compliment to other mediation, yoga, breathwork or wellness activities.

The Integratron is a very unique structure with a supremely colorful history, and is built on what many believe is a geomagnetic vortex in the Mojave Desert near Joshua Tree, underneath which 3 rivers collide.  It is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the National Park Service. It is a resonant tabernacle that was originally engineered and built – entirely of tongue and groove wood – as an electrostatic generator for rejuvenation – and time travel (I told you it has a colorful history!).

The location of the Integratron is an essential part of its functioning. It was built on an intersection of powerful geomagnetic forces that, when focused by the unique geometry of the building, concentrate and amplify the earth’s magnetic field. Magnetometers read a significant spike in the earth’s magnetic field in the center of the Integratron.

The creator of the Integratron used to hold UFO conventions at a giant 7-story rock near the Integratron. It was conceived in the post-war era of the cold war and the Roswell, New Mexico UFO incident. So, it also has an “event” history of sorts, where like-minded individuals gathered to discuss their interests. And the structure is still drawing people today, with reservations currently full until mid-summer.

It was eventually purchased to be opened to the public to share the unique structure and its acoustical properties. Musicians have recorded albums in the dome due to the incredible acoustics of the structure. What better location to soak in the relaxation of crystal bowls, gongs and other healing sound instruments.

The high desert communities surrounding Joshua Tree have long been an escape for alternative thinkers seeking bliss outside of their urban home environments, and there is an exploding high desert music scene I knew nothing about until the weekend I visited!"

Soundbath at Events:

While we cannot bring the Integratron to your event, we work with a number of soundbath experts who travel and customize the experience.
Soundbath events include gongs and crystal singing bowls. They can also include other modalities such as breath work, Reiki, or yoga.

Kristen: "One of our clients organized a soundbath for the staff just prior to the active part of the event to reinvigorate the stressed and tired crew. It worked wonders on our energy levels."

Wishing you a happy, balanced week.
