What Happens When Things Go Wrong? We Deliver In Any Case!

The best planned productions can hit a hitch. Haven't we all had that sinking feeling, knots in the stomach, when bad news breaks just hours before showtime? We always have Plan B and we are proud to say: we deliver.
Last Monday we released DJ AmRo's great Coachella Music Playlist. And we were excited about Solange finally making her own appearance on the Empire Polo Grounds. No sooner had our story gone live that Solange had to cancel her show, due to band members' illness. Do not despair. We have a brand new video for you.
And some flashbacks to our - funny in hindsight - event emergencies.

It was not just another sunny day in California as we were setting up for Bruin Day. The forecast had mentioned gusty winds. They turned into a full blown Santa Ana windstorm that caused such damages that it made national headlines.
Carolyn Vasi and her crew went into rescue mode to get the job done.
Production Manager Carolyn Vasi: "We are used to these wind events in Southern California but this one turned out to be a lot more severe than forecast. The wind force turned over full trucks on the freeways and oak trees broke like matches. Santa Anas have a way of starting abruptly and ending abruptly. We were in the midst of the setup when it started to blow. Our tents were tossed around like tumble weeds."
Thankfully the event location was not too far from our warehouse. Carolyn dispatched the truck to get the storm gear and the setup for the outdoor event proceeded with only a slight delay.

Imagine a low of 33 degrees, wind gusts reaching 35mph and wind driven rain coming in sideways! Yes, those were the conditions we faced on April 15th, 2014, for a mostly outdoor event for 1,600 guests on Ellis and Liberty Islands, New York!
Our biggest worry: an extensive and intricate display of fire works that were an important element of this celebration for a Chinese client. We decided to stick to Plan A and went ahead - and we got lucky! The fire works were a huge hit with our guests - and many New Yorkers!
We did not just light up the sky over the Hudson River - we generated local media coverage and  a Tweet Storm.

Gala Night for 1600 VIP guests, production crew of 200, over 50 performers of all disciplines, four new event technologies: Reaching New Heights took place on 2-1-2013 at Hangar 79, Pearl Harbor. We honored the Chinese client as well as the historic location with a theme based on Space and Aviation. A "Space Launch" on an innovative cylindrical, hydraulic center LED screen opened the evening's show of 3 hours of non-stop entertainment, featuring dance, 3D aerial acrobatics, live music and jugglers set to customized surround projection media for an unforgettable night.
But before this night happened we had to deal with challenges at this historic location: a leaky roof and frequent tropical rain showers. We fixed it in time for our Gala Award winning event.

So while we are waiting for her next live performance we are happy to give you,
Ladies and Gentlemen:
Solange Knowles.
